New to Practice Fellowship

From 1 April 2024, NHS England will no longer be funding the New to Practice Fellowship. NHS England will fund existing fellows who started before 31 March 2024 for the duration of the two year fellowship. Early career GPs within two years of CCT are eligible for the Phoenix Early GP Career Support Scheme instead.

The Phoenix Programme has been offering support to newly qualified GPs in Nottinghamshire since August 2019. We officially launched our New to Practice Fellowship Scheme in February 2021. We had 200 New to Practice GP fellows go through the scheme before its closure in March 2024.
